Vicki and George Muellner Scholarship for Aerospace Engineering is open to undergraduate and graduate students in science or engineering programs related to aerospace. They must be current members of The American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics.

Candidates need to have a GPA of 3.0 or above and must be enrolled in an accredited college or university within the United States or U.S. Territories. All candidates need to have completed at least 1 academic semester of full-time college work.

Along with an application, students must mail in a grade transcript, submit a 500-1,000 word typewritten essay about their career objectives and academic program, include 3 professional letters of recommendation, and a description of extracurricular activities, including high school, college and community activities, offices, awards, and work experience.

The American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics is a professional society for the field of aerospace engineering. The AIAA was founded in 1963 from the merger of two earlier societies: the American Rocket Society (ARS), founded in 1930 as the American Interplanetary Society (AIS), and the Institute of the Aerospace Sciences (IAS), founded in 1932 as the Institute of the Aeronautical Sciences.

The deadline for this scholarship is usually in JANUARY of each year, and the award amount is usually $5,000.
