The Lily Pabilona Emerging Entrepreneur Scholarship

The Lily Pabilona Emerging Entrepreneur Scholarship
The Lily Pabilona Emerging Entrepreneur Scholarship is open to Asian-American students interested in pursuing a career in entrepreneurship. The scholarship is open to both high school seniors and current college students.

Applicants must be at least 50 percent Asian and/or Pacific Islander ethnicity and have a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 or above. Candidates may be either high school seniors planning to attend college or current college students. Current college students must be enrolled full-time at an accredited U.S. vocational, junior college, or four-year college/university and must be a full- time, degree seeking student by the upcoming academic calendar year.

Students may major in any field they choose. In addition to strong academics, applicants must have leadership abilities demonstrated through participation in community service, extracurricular, or other activities. Two scholarships are awarded every year and can be applied toward school tuition and fees.

The scholarship is funded by entrepreneurs Grace and Ranier Pabilona and offered through Against The Grain Productions, a Dallas-based nonprofit organization that promotes Asian American cultural awareness through compelling media projects, and raises funds for international orphanages and underprivileged children.

The deadline for this scholarship is usually in MAY of each year, and the award amount is usually $5,000.
