Imagine America Foundation Scholarships

Imagine America Foundation Scholarships
The Imagine America Foundation Scholarships consist of three annual scholarship programs: the Imagine America High School Scholarship Program for high school seniors, the Military Award Program (MAP) for military personnel, and the Adult Skills Education Program (ASEP) for adults. Every year, they give thousands of students scholarship awards to attend one of the 500+ participating career colleges in the country.

The high school scholarship program, established in 1998, is available to all graduating seniors at any high school in the United States and Puerto Rico. The foundation works with nearly 15,000 high school guidance counselors across the country for nominations.

The military scholarship program, established in 2004, is available to any qualified active duty, reservist, honorably discharged or retired veteran of a United States military service branch for attendance at a participating career college. This scholarship can help those with military service receive a career education and make the transition from military to civilian life.

The adult scholarship program, established in 2009, is a one-time grant for qualified adult students planning to attend a participating career college. All adult students must complete a student assessment provided by the National Center for Competency Testing (NCCT).

The Imagine America Foundation, formerly known as the Career College Foundation, was established in 1982 as the research, scholarship and training provider for career colleges in the United States. Their mission is to establish scholarship award and grant programs, demonstrate the value of specialized career education and improve public understanding of the role of career colleges and schools, and prepare reports and other up-to-date information on various aspects of career education.

The deadline for this scholarship is usually in DECEMBER of each year, and the award amount is usually $1,000.
