The Pearson Prize for Higher EducationThe Pearson Prize for Higher Education is for students who want to give back to their communities and are currently enrolled in a community college or a two-year or four-year university. Students need to complete at least one year of school before applying.

Students must be enrolled in school full-time and have a grade point average of 2.5 or above and have at least one more year of school remaining. It is important for applicants to believe in giving back to their communities and be committed to future involvement. The scholarship prize is based on academic excellence, community involvement and leadership skills.

The scholarship application requires the completion of an essay and a letter of recommendation. A total of 100 finalists will be selected with each finalist receiving a scholarship.

The scholarships are awarded by the Pearson Foundation, a non-profit organization that raises funds from organizations and non-profits that enable them to support education programs and literacy awareness. The purpose the Pearson Prize is to recognize the achievements of outstanding students who value education and service to their communities.

The deadline for this scholarship is usually in APRIL of each year, and the award amount is usually $1,000.
