Students may major in any marketing area, such as direct marketing, interactive marketing, email marketing, electronic marketing, mobile marketing, social marketing, business-to-business marketing, not-for-profit marketing, database marketing, customer relationship management or integrated marketing communications. A minimum grade point average of 3.0 or above is required.
Before applying, marketing students must have completed at least one marketing course in college. Applications are available online and require, in addition, an official college transcript; resumes are also required for graduate students applying for a scholarship.
Scholarships are offered by Marketing Edge, a New York-based non-profit organization dedicated to fostering the field of marketing as a career choice. They provide scholarships and other programs that are designed to encourage students to consider and prepare for careers in marketing.
