Arborjet Taking Root Scholarship Program is open to high school seniors who plan to enroll as full-time students in an undergraduate study at an accredited two-year or four-year college or university in the U.S. Applicants must be pursuing careers in the arboriculture industry.

Eligible students may major in Forestry, Plant Sciences, Horticulture, Entomology, Environmental Science or other related major. Ideal candidates are those with high academic performance, leadership qualities demonstrated through participation in school and community activities, work history, strength of career and educational goals and objectives, and personal or family circumstances.

Scholarships are one-time-only awards and not renewable. Up to ten scholarships are awarded. Applicants do not have to demonstrate financial need and may choose any accredited two-year or four-year college or university to attend.

The scholarship is offered by Arborjet, a Massachusetts-based company who specializes in customized solutions for the health of plants and trees. The company established the Taking Root Scholarship Program to encourage and reward talented young students to fulfill their dreams of entering careers in the arboriculture industry.

The deadline for this scholarship is usually in JUNE of each year, and the award amount is usually $1,000.
