Youth On Course Scholarship is for high school seniors attending a Northern California high school who plan to enroll as a full-time student at a four-year college or university. The scholarship is both need- and merit-based.
Applicants must have a GPA of 3.0 or above in order to qualify. They must also be seniors at a high school in Northern California who plan to enroll in college in the Fall.
To apply, candidates must submit an application, a copy of their SAT/ACT score, high school transcripts, a copy of their official college acceptance letter, and a letter of recommendation from a non-family member.
The scholarship is provided by Youth on Course, a non-profit organization the charitable arm of the Northern California Golf Association. The scholarship program began in 2008, and since its beginning has awarded more than $632,000 in college scholarships to deserving high school graduates.
The deadline for this scholarship is usually in JANUARY of each year, and the award amount is usually $4,000 - $12,000.
