Women Forward in Technology Scholarship is open to women who are planning to pursue careers in the STEM fields. Applicants must be women, both U.S. citizen and non-citizen, who are attending a U.S. accredited university and majoring in a STEM field.

Candidates must have a GPA of 3.5 or above and can be either undergraduate or graduate students. They must be enrolled full-time at an accredited university in the US, in a Science, Technology, Engineering or Math (STEM) field. Multiple scholarships are awarded every year.

Eligible candidates may apply online and include a grade transcript and at least one letter of recommendation. They must also complete a 1,000-word essay addressing the topic: What female leader in the technology industry inspires you and why?

The scholarship is offered by Distil Networks, a cybersecurity company founded in 2011 and headquartered in San Francisco, California. Its main product provides bot detection and mitigation. Distil has corporate offices in London, England, Raleigh, North Carolina, Arlington, Virginia, and Stockholm, Sweden.

The deadline for this scholarship is usually in AUGUST of each year, and the award amount is usually $3,000.
