IES Abroad Scholarships are available to students who are interested in studying abroad. The scholarships are sponsored by IES Abroad, a non-profit organization who collaborates with colleges and universities in six countries to give students a richer college experience.
Interested students may choose from 90 different programs and have the opportunity to study in Asia, Africa, Australia, New Zealand and South America. Some of the cities included in the programs include Paris, London, Rio de Janeiro, Rome, Beijing, Amsterdam, Tokyo, Barcelona, Madrid, and Buenos Aires.
Programs are available that begin in January, Spring, Summer, and Fall. Several scholarships are available and include need-based, merit-based, scholarships for students with diverse backgrounds, legacy scholarships for students with a family member who has attended an IES program, and summer scholarships.
The programs include studies in Business and International Relations, Communications and Media, Fine Arts, Performing Arts, Language, Science, Engineering, Social and Behavioral Sciences, Business, Education, Government and Law.
Each year, IES awards $2.5 million in the form of scholarships, grants and travel funds to deserving students who desire an international experience in their college education.
The deadline for this scholarship VARIES each year, and the award amount is usually $2,000 - $5,000.
