National Dairy Shrine Scholarships recognize students who want to pursue a career in the dairy industry or other agricultural field. Undergraduate students applying must be in their junior or senior year of college. Graduate students must be enrolled in a post-graduate dairy-related course and also be in their junior or senior year.
One undergraduate and two graduate Kildee Scholarships are awarded each year to students pursuing dairy-related studies. In addition, the National Dairy Shrine offers a Student Recognition Program that awards 7 scholarships to college seniors or graduates pursuing careers in the dairy or agricultural production industries.
Undergraduate college sophomores or juniors majoring in Dairy Science, Animal Science, Agricultural Economics, Agricultural Communications, Agricultural Education, General Education and Food and Nutrition can apply for the Dairy Management Scholarship. Other scholarships offered by the National Dairy Shrine include McCullough Scholarships, Klussendorf/McKown Scholarships, Iager Scholarships, and Maurice E. Core Scholarship.
The National Dairy Shrine formed in 1949 to preserve the heritage and support the future of the dairy industry. Scholarships encourage more students to pursue careers in the dairy and cattle industry and give them the educational support they need to be the next generation of dairy industry leaders.
The deadline for this scholarship is usually in APRIL of each year, and the award amount is usually $1,000 - $3,000.
