Alexander and Maude Hadden Scholarship offers scholarship awards to students with high academics and active involvement in both school activities as well as community service. Students must have financial need.

Students who apply must be planning to attend an accredited four-year college or university. They can attend either part-time or full-time. The scholarship is renewable each year for four years. Grade point average requirement is 3.5 or above. It is available to U.S. citizens.

The Alexander and Maude Hadden Scholarship is funded by Youth Foundation, a non-profit organization started in 1940 by Alexander and Maude Hadden. Its primary role is to award scholarships to exceptional students who might not otherwise have an opportunity to pursue an undergraduate degree.

In addition, Youth Foundation seeks students who, through volunteer work, are dedicated to improving their own lives and the lives of others. The foundation seeks to instill in youth a sense of confidence, responsibility and self-discipline.

Applicants must complete and return an application, proof of grades, SAT or ACT scores, financial statements, an essay, and two letters of recommendation. An interview may also be required.

The deadline for this scholarship is usually in FEBRUARY of each year, and the award amount is usually $2,500 - $4,000.
