Eligible students must have a Bachelor’s Degree in Agriculture, preferably dairy, and be strong leaders and managers. Students must plan to enroll full-time in an accredited college or university and maintain a grade point average of 3.0 or above. Acceptable fields of study include business, agribusiness or consumer services.
Applicants are required to have graduated in the upper third of their undergraduate class. In addition, the scholarship committee will seek to find candidates who also have some hands-on experience in dairy production.
The Robert H. Rumler MBA Scholarship was created by Holstein Association, USA in honor of Robert H. Rumler who retired from the association after 36 years of service. The association is a non-profit organization serving the needs of dairy producers across the country. Mr. Rumler believed that education and leadership ability was important to produce the most qualified leaders in the agriculture business.
The deadline for this scholarship is usually in APRIL of each year, and the award amount is usually $3,000.
