Feeding Tomorrow ScholarshipsFeeding Tomorrow Scholarships offer scholarship awards to college freshman, sophomores, juniors and seniors who are pursuing studies in food science and technology.

Food science and technology is the study of food processes that will result in better food production for the public. The General Education Scholarship is available to high school seniors only who are planning to attend an Institute of Food Technology (IFT) approved college. A grade point average of 3.0 or above is required.

Sophomores, juniors and seniors may apply for the Undergraduate Scholarship which also requires a grade point average of 3.0 or above. Students applying for Feeding Tomorrow Scholarships are also eligible to apply for a number of related scholarships in food science and technology, such as the IFT Food Engineering Division Scholarship for students wanting to do a food engineering research project, or the Edlong Dairy Flavors Scholarship for students pursuing a degree in dairy science.

The scholarships are sponsored by the Institute of Food Technologists (IFT), founded in 1939 to study the manufacture and distribution of food to eliminate hunger in the world. Feeding Tomorrow awards 100 scholarships to deserving students every year who are interested in careers in  researching and finding solutions to feed the world.

The deadline for this scholarship VARIES each year, and the award amount is usually $1,000 - $3,000.
