
The competition is based on writing a 500-word essay on the subject of cyberbullying. Applicants may choose one of two topics: "Why is it important to work to delete cyberbullying?" or "How has cyberbullying personally affected you?" Students applying must be planning to attend or currently attending a U.S. accredited college or university.
The purpose of the scholarship is to encourage more students to get involved in eliminating cyberbullying. Entries will be judged on compelling content, creativity and level of commitment to end cyberbullying.
The scholarship is sponsored by deletecyberbullying.org, an online organization dedicated to educate parents and students about the dangers of online harassment. The organization is spreading the word about cyberbullying with the latest news, stories, events and other information about harassment. Members includes individuals, organizations, businesses, educational institutions and non-profit organizations--all of whom are invited to help eradicate cyberbullying.
The deadline for this scholarship is usually in JUNE of each year, and the award amount is usually $1,500.
