Hawaii Community Foundation (HCF) Scholarships offer over 170 different scholarship funds that ensure traditional students as well as non-traditional students juggling school, work and family have an opportunity to attend college.
The scholarships are funded through individuals, businesses, organizations, and private foundations. Whether students want to attend a college or university or prefer a technical degree at a community college, the HCF will help with scholarships that make it possible for Hawaii students to pursue their higher education goals.
The scholarship can be used for any education-related expense, such as tuition and fees, room and board, books and supplies. Eligible students must attend college full-time at an accredited two- or four-year college or university. They must have a grade point average of 2.7 or above, live in Hawaii, and demonstrate financial need.
The Hawaii Community Foundation is a non-profit organization who partners with local companies and other organizations to give to the community. Their work has benefited people in Hawaii since 1916. The scholarship program alone has contributed $4.6 million in scholarships to 1500 deserving Hawaiian students.
The deadline for this scholarship is usually in FEBRUARY of each year, and the award amount is usually $500 - $2,000.
