Point Foundation Scholarship Program
Point Foundation Scholarship Program is open to high school seniors as well as college undergraduate and graduate students. Students who qualify must be academic high performers and active in the LGBTQ community.

Up to 34 scholarships are awarded each year, and the scholarship is renewable. To qualify, students must have excellent grades, demonstrated leadership skills and a passion for improving the world. They must be full-time students at a U.S. accredited four-year college or university. Each applicant must complete an essay. From all applications, semi-finalists are selected, and finalists are chosen to receive scholarships.

Eligible students must show financial need and a strong desire to make a difference in their communities and their professional lives. They must demonstrate their active role in the LGBTQ community (students do not need to self-identify with the LGBTQ community to qualify). All students attending U.S. schools may apply regardless of their citizenship.

Point Foundation is a non-profit organization that was established in 2001. Their mission is to help LGBTQ students achieve their higher education and career goals. The organization is dedicated to helping LGBTQ students become successful leaders despite the obstacles they have overcome.

The deadline for this scholarship is usually in JANUARY of each year, and the award amount is usually $10,000.
