Superpower Scholarship gives college-bound students an opportunity to win extra money for college. Students age 13 and above may apply by submitting an essay on the subject of superheros.

To apply, students need to submit an essay of no more than 250 words that describes a hero with superhuman powers. This essay requires imagination and opens the doors to creative thinking among students. Whether it is creating an imaginary world or using super powers to solve problems in our world, students' imaginations can earn them money for college.

Applicants must be at least 13 years old who are planning to enroll in college by 2021, or current college students already enrolled in an accredited post-secondary institution of higher education. This can include a college, university or trade school. The essay must address the question: “Which superhero or villain would you want to change places with for a day and why?”

The scholarship is offered by, a non-profit organization formed in 2000 by professionals, parents, and students dedicated to finding ways to better serve the financial needs of college undergraduate and graduate students and high school seniors planning to attend college.

The deadline for this scholarship is usually in MARCH of each year, and the award amount is usually $2,500.
