The scholarship is the combined effort of Texas Instruments and the Robotics Education & Competition Foundation. Eligible students include those who have participated in a robotics competition, including VEX Robotics Competition, Project Lead the Way (PTLW), FIRST Robotics Competition or BEST Robotics.
To apply, applicants must submit an essay up to 500 words that describes their interest in robotics or electric engineering. Their robotics project must have included Texas Instruments parts. Two scholarships will be presented at the VEX Robotics Competition World Championship in April.

The deadline for this scholarship is usually in JANUARY of each year, and the award amount is usually $5,000.
