Nickelodeon "Nickfluence" Animation Scholarship

The Nickelodeon "Nickfluence" Animation Scholarship is open to students who are at least 17 but no more than 24 years of age. Applicants can be high school students or students who are currently enrolled or accepted at a college, university, or post-graduate/higher education institution.

Applicants may enter the scholarship competition by submitting an original animated film that is 3 minutes or shorter. The film should demonstrate how Nickelodeon has influenced the student as an artist, or as a person.

All entries will be judged on creativity and originality (40 percent), Nick pride (30 percent) and overall appeal (30 percent). Applicants may reference any number of Nickelodeon animated shows which have influenced them. One winner will be chosen to receive a scholarship to the school of their choice.

Nickelodeon is a cable and satellite television network that produces animated and other programming for children ages 2-8, and ages 8-16. The network is owned by the Viacom Media Networks division of Viacom.

The deadline for this scholarship is usually in SEPTEMBER of each year, and the award amount is usually $25,000.
