The Blues Babe Foundation Scholarship Program is open to current undergraduate students who are pursuing careers in the writing arts. Recipients must be enrolled full-time at an accredited four-year college or university of the student's choice.
The program was created by three-time GRAMMY award-winning singer-songwriter Jill Scott. The Blues Babe Foundation is a non-profit organization committed to assisting students in underserved communities by providing opportunities that foster a spirit of leadership and academic excellence.
To apply, students must complete an online application and include a current grade transcript, a letter of recommendation, a copy of a Student Aid Report from FAFSA, and a 2-4 page writing sample.
The deadline for this scholarship is usually in OCTOBER of each year, and the award amount is usually $10,000.
