Pension Real Estate Association (PREA) Scholarship Program is open to undergraduate and graduate students who are majoring or concentrating in real estate. College sophomores, juniors or seniors and graduate level students may apply.
Applicants must be attending an accredited four-year college or university full-time; they may attend a college of their choice. Recipients receive a scholarship and a one-on-one mentoring experience with a real estate industry professional.
To apply, students must complete an essay and include with their application a grade transcript. Scholarship recipients will be chosen according to academic record, leadership qualities, extracurricular activities and volunteer community work, honors received, work experience, and statement of goals.
PREA is a non-profit trade association that serves the global real estate investment industry. It was founded in 1979 and is located in Hartford, Connecticut. PREA has awarded $612,500 in scholarships and grants since 1994 to 219 students concentrating in real estate studies at colleges and universities across the U.S. and Canada.
The deadline for this scholarship is usually in JUNE of each year, and the award amount is usually $500 - $5,000.
