DuPont Pioneer Scholarship provides financial support for outstanding students who are working toward undergraduate or graduate level degrees in agriculture-related disciplines. The scholarships are available to students at universities around the world.

Applicants must be high-achieving (GPA of 3.0 or higher), future leaders with a strong interest in increasing crop productivity. Candidates may be pursuing a two- or four-year degree in agronomy; crop, plant or soil science; farm and ranch management; general agriculture or agricultural sciences or other field related to agricultural business.

The scholarships are non-renewable. Scholarships can be used for tuition, fees, books, and equipment required for classes. Applicants must be working to attain a vocational diploma or college degree from a postsecondary vocational/technical school or from a college or university. Eight scholarships are awarded each year.

Pioneer Hi-Bred, part of DuPont, is a leading developer and supplier of plant genetics to farmers worldwide. Their research and products has helped farmers increase agricultural productivity, profitability and sustainability. The company is headquartered in Iowa. Pioneer dates back to 1926 and was purchased by DuPont in 1999.

The deadline for this scholarship is usually in FEBRUARY of each year, and the award amount is usually $1,000 - $1,500.
