Los Hermanos de Stanford Scholarship Fund
Los Hermanos de Stanford Scholarship Fund is open to outstanding Latino students graduating from high school with plans to attend any 2-year or 4-year institution of higher learning. The purpose of the scholarship is to help high school seniors of Latino descent fund their college finances.
Applicants of any gender and undocumented students are eligible for this award. Candidates will be judged on their academic excellence, community service, and cultural awareness, and financial need. Two scholarships are awarded each year.
Eligible students may apply by completing an online application, along with two essay questions in less than 1,000 words. In addition, students must include one letter of recommendation.
The scholarship is offered by the Los Hermanos de Stanford Scholarship Fund, a non-profit brotherhood established in 1994 for the purpose of giving back to the community, fostering academic excellence, and increasing cultural awareness of Latinos.
The deadline for this scholarship is usually in MAY of each year, and the award amount is usually $1,000.
