The Bill Dickey Scholarship Association (BDSA) awards scholarships every year to high school students as well as current college students. Applicants must plan to attend or currently be enrolled at an accredited college or university and have a strong interest in golf.

Applicants may attend an accredited college or university of their choice. Candidates must have and maintain a GPA of 2.5 or higher and have a demonstrated record of community involvement. Academic achievement, leadership, and financial need are also required.

To apply, students must enter the BDSA database. They may then apply for the scholarship by completing an application, along with their grade transcript, two references, and a 500-word essay.

The Bill Dickey Scholarship Association is a non-profit organization that was formed to promote the sport of golf among students, focusing on young minority golfers with the goal to increase their numbers in golf while pursuing an education through support and financial assistance. Since its beginning in 1984, the organization has awarded scholarships to over 1000 college student golfers.

The deadline for this scholarship is usually in MAY of each year, and the award amount is usually $14,000.
