Applicants must be full-time students with a GPA of 3.3 or above. In addition, students must demonstrate a need for financial assistance in order to make it possible for them to attend college. This scholarship recognizes students who have achieved academic excellence and have leadership qualities and a record of contributing to community activities.
Two scholarships are awarded each year to students who have a passion for education and improving the quality of life in Silicon Valley. The Honmyo Nguyen Family Trust Scholarship is one of several offered through the Silicon Valley Community Foundation.
The scholarship is offered through the Silicon Valley Community Foundation, a non-profit public charity and the largest community foundation in the nation. Their primary goal is to help build and strengthen the community by bringing together people and organizations.
The deadline for this scholarship is usually in APRIL of each year, and the award amount is usually $1,500.
