Thurgood Marshall Fund/ Lowe's Gap Scholarship is open to undergraduate students who are attending a Thurgood Marshall College Fund (TMCF) member school and who are in their final semester of their degree program. It is for students with strong academic records and demonstrated financial need.
Candidates must have a GPA of 3.0 or above. They must be full-time students attending one of the 47 TMCF member schools, and also have a demonstrated record of community involvement and leadership activities. Graduating seniors may apply.
Applicants may apply online by completing an online application, and including a resume, grade transcript, and an essay of 500 words or more on the topic, "What are your post-graduation plans and how will the scholarship help you to achieve your goals?"
The scholarship is offered by The Thurgood Marshall College Fund (TMCF) and Lowe’s, an American company that operates a chain of retail home improvement and appliance stores in the United States, Canada, and Mexico. TMCF is a non-profit organization that works to give outstanding students an opportunity to earn a degree from an accredited college or university.
The deadline for this scholarship is usually in JUNE of each year, and the award amount is usually $500 - $3,200.
