Applicants must be at least 13 years old. All students entering the competition must have a GPA of 2.5 or above. The competition involves building a fort out of sheets and blankets, then sharing a photo using the hashtag #FortOnFleek and tag DormBedding (Instagram).
Entries will be judged on the quality of the fort and the photo. Students may build as many forts as they want and enter the competition. In addition, students who Tag their friends in the post and their friends also build a fort will win $200.
The scholarship competition is sponsored by Dormbedding.com, an online retailer that sells all kinds of bedding for adolescents and college students. Their product line includes sheet sets, comforters, blankets, mattress pads and protectors, in full, twin and twin XL sizes to fit dorm beds.
The deadline for this scholarship is usually in DECEMBER of each year, and the award amount is usually $1,000.
