The CyberCorps Scholarship for Service Program (SFS) is open to students who attend a full-time, approved computer science degree program at a participating university. The scholarships may fully fund tuition and related fees incurred by full-time students while attending college.
The scholarships are provided through a partnership between the National Science Foundation (NSF) and the Department of Homeland Security (DHS). Scholarship recipients must agree to work for the Department of Homeland Security for the same number of years covered by the scholarship. In addition, recipients also must agree to serve a 10 week summer internship.
Internships are paid, and most are located in Washington, D.C. Both undergraduate and graduate students may apply for the scholarship program. Qualifying students must attend a university that is participating in the program.
