Every year, 2-4 deserving female students are awarded scholarships. Candidates must be first-year college attendants and demonstrate financial need. Candidates must have strong academic records, leadership qualities, a commitment to community service, and have the potential to be future leaders in their communities.

Since VAPW has been awarding scholarships, they have been able to double the amount awarded. Recipients are chosen because of their academic accomplishments, commitment to their community, and their demonstrated ability to overcome hardships.
VAPW was founded in 2006 and is dedicated to provide programs that outreach, educate, prepare and engage Vietnamese American professional women in areas of leadership and development, to support the professional growth of its members, and to encourage more youths in the community to enter professional career areas.
The deadline for this scholarship is usually in MARCH of each year, and the award amount is usually $2,000.
