Future of Assisted Living Scholarship is open to all students enrolled in a program pursuing an associate's degree, bachelor's degree or graduate level program. Candidates may attend an accredited 2-year college or 4-year university and includes both U.S. and Canadian students.
Students apply by submitting a 500-750 word essay on the subject of senior assisted living facilities. Also required is a 250-word bio that includes information about their educational background, why they are seeking a degree in their field, and why the scholarship interested them. The top three essays chosen by the judges will receive scholarships.
The scholarship money may be used for tuition and books. The scholarship has been awarding students for the past three years and this year has included applicants from Canada.
The scholarship is sponsored by SeniorAdvisor.com, launched in 2013 as a review site for senior care and services across the United States and Canada. The purpose of the organization is to improve the way people find senior care for themselves and their loved ones by sharing reviews and ratings on senior care facilities.
The deadline for this scholarship is usually in DECEMBER of each year, and the award amount is usually $2,000.
