​Cafe Bustelo El Cafe Del Futuro Scholarship Essay Contest

​Cafe Bustelo El Cafe Del Futuro Scholarship Essay Contest is open to full-time undergraduate or graduate students who are currently enrolled at a four-year HACU-member institution within the United States, D.C. and Puerto Rico. Students must be of Latino descent.

Candidates must be 18 years old or older, committed to their education and to their community. The contest is open to legal residents of the 50 United States, D.C. and Puerto Rico, and to all majors. Up to 9 scholarships will be awarded.

To apply, candidates must write a 800-word essay in which they describe how their Latino heritage, family, and community motivated them to obtain a college degree. The essay must also include a statement as to what the student wants to accomplish with their degree and how they will use their education to give back to their community.

The scholarship is sponsored by the Hispanic Association of Colleges and Universities (HACU) in San Antonio, TX, and Rowland Coffee Roasters, Inc., Miami, FL.

The deadline for this scholarship is usually in MAY of each year, and the award amount is usually $5,000.
