APIASF/United Health Foundation Scholarship is open to Asian and Pacific Islander students who plan to pursue a degree that will lead to a career in the health field. Eligible students must live in the following states: AZ, CA, CO, FL, GA, HI, KS, MN, NC, NM, NV, NY, TN, TX, WA or WI.

Applicants must be enrolling as a full-time, second-year student at an accredited U.S. college or university. Eligible health care professions include: general practitioners, internists, family practitioners, OB/GYNs, dentists, public health professionals, mental health professionals, nurses, physician assistants, and pharmacists.

All candidates must have a GPA of 2.7 or above and be a U.S. citizen, national, or legal permanent resident of the United States. They must also demonstrate a strong commitment to working in underserved communities. The scholarship is for three years.

The scholarship is offered by the Asian & Pacific Islander American Scholarship Fund (APIASF), a non-profit organization dedicated to ensuring that all Asian American and Pacific Islanders have access to higher education and resources that cultivate their academic, personal and professional success. The scholarship is supported by the United Health Foundation.

The deadline for this scholarship is usually in JANUARY of each year, and the award amount is usually $15,000.
