Roy E. Jorgensen Memorial Scholarship

Since 2006, maintenance management company Roy Jorgensen Associates, Inc. has been awarding an outstanding engineering student each year in memory of its late founder, Roy E. Jorgensen.

Applicants must be a U.S. citizen and an undergraduate college senior or graduate student enrolled at an accredited engineering university in the United States.

Those who are interested must submit their completed application, university academic transcripts, letters of acceptance from graduate school, and three letters of recommendation. It is also a requirement to submit a written essay about the applicant's career objectives and life goals.

Applications will only be accepted by postal service mail or express mail. Applicants that are residing in Maryland are given preference.

Founded in 1961, Roy Jorgensen Associates, Inc. has developed world-class consulting and contract maintenance services for numerous public and private infrastructures.

In 2006, the company established the Roy E. Jorgensen Memorial Scholarship in honor of its late founder, Roy E. Jorgensen, a civil engineer who had been committed himself in supporting youth's academic goals to improve their lives and others' lives.

The deadline for this scholarship is usually in JULY of each year, and the award amount is usually $15,000.
